make wonderful, beautiful things

Online Craft Club #38

First off, where’d you all go. It’s pretty sad when I throw and internet party and only my mother shows up. I mean, I love me mother, but we can visit in person and see each other’s crafty stuff. Surely some of the almost 100 of you who visit each day are making stuff, right? Share, people. Don’t keep all the goodness to yourself!

As for me, I haven’t done any crafting. Now, I know I just fussed at you for that very thing, but seriously, I have been hip deep in a major blogging project, and I made a deal with myself that it was worth giving up my crafting and reading time this week if I could get done and not have it hanging over my head and causing me stress. I expect to return to my previous pursuits this weekend, and may even have a couple of FOs for next week. That would be slick, wouldn’t it? Yessiree!

knits fall 2008 hotToday, though, lets talk about the new Interweave Knits. OH MY WORD, it came yesterday while I was shelling beans with my mother. (See, I told you we see each other all the time), and I took one look at the sweater on the cover and lost the gift of speech. Seriously. I could only wave the magazine around and make oddly moo-like sounds while she looked at me as if I had grown a second head. Apparently, she is not seduced by the sweater, but I am. Yes. I must have it. Because. The texture. It is divine. Period.

Also of interest: the Sidelines Top on page 104, the Little Blue Sweater on page 116 and the ads for loopyewe and knittingpureandsimple. Yes, I read the ads in my knitting magazines. Don’t you? Not that I can buy anything. But that is neither here nor there. Looking is covered in the cost of my internet 😉

OK, your turn! Spill it!

Take a picture of your current project, whatever that happens to be. Or maybe one you recently finished. Or the materials for the one you are about to start. Let’s say materials for a project in whatever state it happens to be in at the time you snap it. On Friday, post the picture and tell us about your project. What you did, or what you are going to do. How much you are enjoying it, or hating it. You know–show and tell.

Just copy & paste the code below the graphic and get crafty with me!

Be sure to come back and leave a comment so we know where to find you!
