Dress UP!

Do your kids like to dress up? Mine do, all of them, from TheClone (she’s 20, ya’ll) to DaBaby. And it’s not just a girl thing! Sure the gals like to put on fancy dresses and such, but the boys love to pin a towel around their shoulders and pretend to be superheros. And I guess if I were to be completely honest, I enjoy dressing up, too, though I don’t do characters: any day I get to put my whole face on without an interruption counts as a dress-up day for me, LOL!

Costumes just make imaginative play more fun, ykwim? What kid could resist being a fairy? Or Hannah Montana? Well, ok, my girls do not like Hannah Montana, they are too cool for that, but these other kids costumes look like fun. And Spidey would totally be thrilled to have that Spiderman costume. The closest he’s come so far has been a clothespin with “Spidey” written on it to hold that towel I mentioned in place. I might have to consider these for birthday presents. I still remember visiting my sister in law in Texas. She had a houseful of toys, and one trunk of dress up costumes, mostly from dance recitals. Guess what got played with?? Yep, that’s right; the costumes.
