Twinkle, Twinkle, Knit a Star: Another Book Giveaway
Have you had a chance to check out this new book? It’s chock full of big needle knitting projects, designed so that you can complete them in just a few hours. The premise is that you can knit several garments over the course of a weekend away, and author Wenlan Chia has certainly designed some winning pieces here. There are several scarves and sweaters as well as the halter top on the cover and some hats. The 20 projects are fresh and appealing, but alas for me, and luckily for you, I don’t do chunky. It hurts my dinky little hands to knit with huge needles, and I am way to short to wear yarn that big. My loss is someone’s gain, because while I may remap some of these pieces into finer gauge yarns, I’m willing to let the book go to some lucky commenter/blogger.

As a big girl, I don’t wear big knits, but my sister (who doesn’t knit and constantly requests handknit items) absolutely loves chunky sweaters. Count me in!
