sticks, beads and strings
make wonderful, beautiful things

Did you get the new [tag]KnitPicks[/tag] catalog yet? I really liked this issue, because of the focus on kid patterns. It was guilt-free quasi-shopping! With all this yarn I have here, I think shopping for books and patterns is just about required. Don’t you agree???

I particularly liked the Harvey Kimono that they highlighted on page 9. That little lace edging is just to die for. It comes from a Louisa harding book, Natural Knits for Babies and Moms. I could totally see that with the body in variegated and the borders solid. I also like the dress on page 4, but I think I could wing that without a pattern. The book on the back cover will probably be coming home to me. You know I need to use up sock yarn! Not just Socks for Kids would sure help me do that.

The only thing is…..if I go over there……..well, what with the free shipping over $45, I am afraid some yarn will hop in my cart while I am not looking, just to get to the total I need and then, well, I’ll be in trouble.
