Pump Review

I’ve been asked to do a review of the Avent Breast Pumps. I guess all those months I spent exclusively pumping for the baby have made me an expert. Or is that X-spurt since I finally weaned? I know long term readers will remember me whining about needing an electric pump, and how thrilled I was when it got here. What I didn’t say is that although the electric pump increased my convenience, and eased the ache in my hands, I could never achieve the same volume with it as I did with my Avent Isis.

I can say without reservation that the Isis is the best manual breast pump on the market. And I tried a bunch of them! The only thing that I dislike about it is that you cannot get different sized horns for it like you can the Medela Harmony. I did find a work around for that, even. I took the larger Medela horn and shoved it into the horn of the Isis, and continued on my way.

You can get the Avent Isis On the Go Set for 51.00 plus 8.29 shipping from Amazon, or you can go to BreastPumpsDirect and get it for 49.95 with free shipping and personalized customer service, including live chat. And if you are not sure this is the pump for you (trust me, it is), then you can use this [tag]breast pump[/tag] comparison to decide.
