How can this be?
We used to have car insurance through progressive, and it was $1800 every six months. I’ve talked about it here, so you know that, if you’ve been reading long. Today, we have new insurance, also through progressive, but a different section, and it is just under $1200 every six months. Same coverage, same drivers, same, same, same! How can this be?
Kudos to DD#1 for researching this for me. Kudos to me, because I did not have to borrow money from my mom, which I sometimes have to do for large payments (the down was a bit steep, but I pay for three months and coast for three months.) Nor did I have to take out a faxless cash advance, which really would have hacked me off.
I so appreciate my mother. She lets borrow money when I need it and send her Paypal to cover it. This si such a wonderful thing because it can take a few days to get money from Paypal into the bank account. Since organization is not my strong suit, I sometimes forget to do it in time to have the funds when I need them. This time, I was a little bit smarter.

WOWZA! Ours went up from 300.00 every six months to 600.00 every six months a few years ago when Richard was unfortunate enough to have TWO accidents in a 6mo span. They’ve finally been removed from his record (as of the 1st of this month) and we’re heading back down in the neighborhood that I want to be. We also have Progressive. Did your ins go up that high by adding DD#1. I just can’t believe you’ve been paying that much.. that is highway robbery!
Yes, And I know. Grrrr
Have you looked at http://www.direct-general.com/ ? It’s where I have my car insurance and I think they are in your state, too. Very cheap.
