Another 101 update

I’m gonna pull all those house related items together for this post, and introduce you to a site that may help me with home repairs, and upgrades. Here’s the list of what I wanted to do, so you don’t have to flip over to the 101 things page.

#39 add a room onto the house
#61 put new flooring in the kitchen and living room
#75 plant a small garden
#76 plant flowers in the front yard, and tend them
#77 plant trees in the front yard
#78 build a deck in the back
#79 build a real porch in the front, covered, with chairs even

You’ll note that for almost all of these plans of mine, I was able to find information on Handy Household Hints. They are a warehouse of info on home repair, DIY, remodeling, and home makeover.

I had not listed wallpapering or painting, though I have been thinking about it lately. I have enough on the list already, so I’ll just keep it in mind instead of on-blog. And I really must do something about food storage in the kitchen. I think the last batch of potatoes I brought home were buggy, because we are being over-run with the foul wee things. We always have our share of bugs, living in this bug-friendly climate as we do, but I’ve never seen this kind before.

Truthfully, it’s a lack of funds that have held me back thus far. Time has only marginally played an issue. Of course, once we have the money, then the time will come into play. If I can win that $50,000 Extreme Home Makeover, maybe I can get a head start on all this stuff. Heck, I might even be able to finish it. Wouldn’t that be grand? (yeah, like 50 grand -haha- I slay myself!)
