Here’s the karaoke sweater. The picture is not the greatest, but you can see the color change.

And here is my living room:

Dh and I, along with DD#4 are reclaiming the master bedroom. Do you think I have enough to do today??

Oh yeah, forgot to mention

Remember the other day, I said I don’t need the stockings done until Thanksgiving? Well, that brought to mind our holiday routine. The nativity and advent candles always go on the hutch, as well as hanging the stockings from it. You know, the one with all the yarn on it? It’s gotta be cleared! EEK! I’ve done abit of sorting this morning already, as I pulled the baby yarn, but……..there is still a flock of yarn up there.

~~hehehe, flock of yarn. I slay myself. ~~

Back to the point……I have one large basket, and will get another just like it. They are nice tall wicker baskets with lids, and look good just sitting about. And then, I’ll need to knit up the rest. I am pretty sure I can make it happen, as a lot of the space is taken up by stuff I planned to finish this month and next anyway :)

I’ve started planning next year’s fibery fun; you can see the agenda so far in the new page listed over on the right.

Gathering my Thoughts

I need to do several things today:
go through DD#4 toy bin
laundry (that never changes)
dye yarn
continue custom pants
start second color on demo sweater
take a pic once I get a bit done on same
pull baby yarn from stash pile total of 12 balls, with what I need to pick up in Southport
work on DD#4 pants
work on DD#4 blanket
do some school thinking

Now, I did take the blanket to Mama’s, and after the intense push yesterday, I got all but 3 or 4 rows done on the corner. Except for working on it at her house, I am done with it until November. I really want to get started on something baby. I can do pants or start the blanket with what I have here. But I really should not start the blanket until DD#4’s is done. And I have 3 projects going right now where I just knit in a circle, round and round and round. And round. I am thinking of crocheting his stuff anyway, so I need to settle that in my mind.

Can you tell I woke up this morning with a vague “weirdness”? Well, I did. Maybe more coffee will help :)

Adios Dear Blanket!

Here is the blanket, measuring in at 54 inches square.

I am working on it today, as I plan to take it to Mama’s tonight and leave it there. I have the second corner build-up halfway done, and obviously, it’s taking longer and longer to get across and back. I’ll have to finish the buildup over there, and I can work on the squares here. Just one more round of squares should finish it. It will take 36, and I have 9 already made. I have one cone of that yarn, from which I can get 15-17 more. Obviously I will need more yarn (again).

So my goals for this:
October-finish the corner
November-make the squares
December-put it together and edge it

I think it’s doable, as I have convinced dh that on the Wednesdays I don’t have knit group, it’s OK for me to go over and have a stitch night with Mama. I am such a sneak!!

You likely will not see it again until it is finished, hence today’s pic.

Food for Thought

Matthew 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Wars too numerous to mention. Katrina. Rita. California mudslides. Earthquake in the East. Bird Flu. Truly the time is at hand.

And while I am here on this subject, let me have a word on “peace in the Middle East”. I keep reading about people striving to attain this goal. Let me remind you, it is an unattainable goal for now. It will not happen-YET. When there is peace in the Middle East, it will be because the Anti-Christ is in control enforcing it. And it will be short-lived, as he will betray Israel. It is horrifying, and incredibly sad, that the Israelis and the Palestinians are killing one another in atrocious ways over there. But every day that they continue to fight is another day that souls can be reached for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Galatians 6: 7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Don’t think God is not watching, does not care. Indeed it is his very attention and compassion that keep the world in place at this moment.

John 3: 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Ephesians 2: 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained F5 that we should walk in them.

I don’t believe it!

Today, DS#3 asked for the blanket. I got my 2 rows on it done for the day. This having to work on it while DH is gone really cuts into the time I can spend on it.

I had fun last night altering the shorts. Errr, beginning to alter the shorts. Seems I used a 5, not a 6 on them. The 6 resulted in wicked nasty pooling where nice stripes had been before. Now, I don’t mind pooling, and you know I love stripes. But partly pooled and partly striped just will not do. No way, no how. But I got it figured out, and am zooming down a leg now.

My custom pants are about ready to divide for the legs, and I started the 3rd ball on the demo sweater last night.

There you have today’s fiber report: nothing at a picture worthy state just now. Soon, soon!
