sticks, beads and strings
make wonderful, beautiful things

It’s a small world after all

I am shocked by how small. I was getting ready to pack the pants from yesterday and ship them. Uh-oh, this mama lives in Louisiana, and did not reply to my email yesterday. Hmmmm, I wonder how close she is to NOLA. (surfs over to mapquest). 30 miles. That’s all. Guess that explains her silence, eh? I’ll be holding her pants. And praying for her.

I slept last night, for the first time since Katrina hit. Wonder if that had much to do with the check sitting here for the relief fund that I wrote out before bed? I’m betting it did, so if you’re still thinking about it, go ahead and do it. You’ll feel better. I am recommending the American Red Cross, as 90% of donations go to the people they help. There are places on-line that you can check out charities to see how much goes to victims and how much goes to “overhead and expenses”.

I am almost through with the second front of the vest. I’ll set it aside after I get that done so I can knit up another custom order.

Cleaning today will be the bottom cabinets on the frig side and the top and 2 shelves of the next bookcase. I need to do some schedule tweaking and make a grocery list as well. I also need to start on the remaining Christmas stockings. I am still needing to replace 5 way-to-big ones with stockings-of-reasonable-size.
