Got the hat finished. Grocery shooping is done. Dh has taken the kids to rehearsal, bless his heart. I took a nap, and it did help some. I’ll start some yarn dyeing in a few minutes and then work some more DD#4’s baby blanket. Poor babay, she’s the only one that I did not have a blanket ready for at birth.
I’ve pretty much decided on green for this new baby’s color, and am taking yarn suggestions. Got any? I need something that can take washing and lots of it. And that I can afford a blanket’s worth of ![]()

TLC Cotton Plus has two nice green colors (mint and spruce) which would also coordinate nicely together. There’s color samples at their website:

I’m using the Cotton Plus to make Wavy scarves & hats for my girls, and I think it’s very nice to knit with. I got mine from joann.com… it’s $2.69 for 186 yards, so not pricey, either.
Knitpicks (http://www.knitpicks.com/yarns/yarn_home.aspx)
has a few nice yarns…
Andean Treasure (100% Alpaca) comes in 2 greens
Shine (60% cotton, 40% modal) comes in 2 greens
Merino Style (100% wool) comes in 4 greens
Essential (75% superwash wool, 25% nylon) comes in 2 greens
Crayon (100% cotton) comes in 1 green, and it looks really squishy
HTH
I like the TLC Cotton Plus, it’s what I am using for DD#4, but at ACMoore yesterday, they only had one green, and it was *not* one I consider pleasant, LOL!
I am really thinking to do a diagonal in stripes. Do you think the merino would hold up to constant wash-wash-washing?
I also looked at the Parade at Knitpicks, they have one with green stripes. Maybe even combined with the Essential?
Spruce would go really well with the 3 other colors already in use.
Spruce in which yarn?
as mentioned above TLC Cotton
Yes, but they did not have that color, remember?
