GASP!
Ok, I put last night’s score on the yarn hutch. It’s official. I can buy no more yarn until I use up a bunch. There is no more room!!
I went to the stash page and counted the total. 112 balls/hanks, *not* including work, charity, wip or sock yarn. Whoa! Now, a bunch of this is for my next batch of projects, but, umm, still. Ok, stop!

isn’t stash acquisition a blessing and a curse? i’ve been trying to get control of the stash and actually find it is a one step forward two steps back kinda deal. best of luck!
you have inspired me to do an inventory of my stash and to ultimately be accountable for it.
I know there are knitters with stash that would blow our minds. But I have a feeling mine is going to be unreal. I have hanks and skeins tucked into so many places. Things I’ll never use. Things I WANT to use. Oy.
The sad part is that I am sure there are balls in there I have not counted. All the fun fur, the hanks for the Santa Train Set, the assorted balls for Dulaan knitting, etc. But, for sure, when I look at the “waiting stitches” to select my next projects, many of them need to come from stash yarn
agreed about stash yarn. I’m on a quest now to use up stash. Small…large projects. I dove in yesterday and found a few yarns that are ideal for my weasley sweater project (at least for Cassidy’s)
I have some new yarn storage coming my way though! Yesterday was our anniversary. Well for the past 3 days, DH has been working on a project in the garage. He thought he would have been done by yesterday, but alas….is not.
Anyway…its a large ottoman that is storage inside! And…get this….cedar (on the inside!!! the outside is birch) For optimal “wool storage” (granted, it wont hold ALL my wool..but will seriously help my stash storage problem!)
That sounds awesome!!
