sticks, beads and strings
make wonderful, beautiful things

Here Comes Santa Claus!

It’s a finished object report.

My mom made the hat, and I did the sweater. The yarn is Auracania Nature Wool Chunky in color 120. The pattern is my own, an unpattern, really. Gauge x desired circumference= cast on. Knit sweater. The bands are seed stitch. One new trick I tried was to do the neck shaping with short rows, and I really like how that came out. It will be a standard in my knitter’s bag of handy tricks.

Time to update the side bar :P

Very pretty. I love how that color knit up! I’m always surprised by nature wool’s beauty :)

I like the hat pretty much, too :)

And, yes, I will definately be doing more nature wool.

Hello Cass,

My sock-pal-2-zaa socks just arrived today including the lovely buttons and the great fragrance. The socks fit perfectly. I’ll post about them on the weekend sometime but I wanted to come over and send you a quick note of Thanks.

Our due dates seem to be very close based on your ticker. Must be barely a week apart? (Feb 18 for me).

The blue cardigan you just showed on the blog is very cute.

Take care
Uli

Oh, Uli, I am so glad they got there. I’ve been visiting (stalking) your blog anxiously. I know the post sometimes gets held up at the border, and I was hoping yours would not be caught in mail limbo forever. Glad you like everythihg, and enjoy!
